Job Title: Cloud and Observability Leader
Location: Bangalore, India
Job Summary
As the Cloud and Observability Leader, you will be responsible for developing and executing our cloud strategy while ensuring comprehensive observability across our systems. You will lead a team of engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of our cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers and observability specialists.
- Strategy Development: Define and execute the cloud strategy aligned with business objectives, focusing on scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Observability Implementation: Establish and maintain observability practices to monitor, measure, and improve system performance and reliability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and product teams to integrate observability into the software development lifecycle.
- Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend tools and technologies for cloud management and observability.
- Incident Management: Develop processes for incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure that cloud solutions meet security and compliance requirements.
- Transformation: Migrate Observability solution to SaaS based products
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in cloud computing and observability, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), observability tools (Nagios, Manage Engine site 24/7, Grafana, SolarWinds and DevOps practices.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
BA/BS degree and 8-10 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
0-2 years’ leadership experience
