Position: DevOps Engineer
Department: Research and Development (R&D)
Location: Alpharetta, GA
Reports to: Principal DevOps Engineer
Job Scope and Accountabilities:
The DevOps Engineer is responsible for managing and enhancing Kahua’s cloud and on-premise hosting environments, ensuring system security, supporting compliance efforts, and automating infrastructure processes. This role also provides escalated technical support and contributes to the operational reliability of Kahua's product deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage private, public, and federal government cloud infrastructure environments
- Patch software, firmware, and hardware across data center components
- Deploy Kahua products and implement enhancements to deployment processes
- Participate in monthly compliance reviews and annual third-party audits
- Collaborate with support and development teams to resolve infrastructure-related production issues
- Run analytics reports for business stakeholders
- Provide escalation-level technical support and assist in diagnosing data-level product issues'
Experience Required:
- Knowledge of system security best practices
- Experience with Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS
- Strong PowerShell scripting and task automation skills
- Familiarity with public cloud services, especially Azure
- Hands-on experience with on-premise hardware (e.g., Cisco switches, NetApp storage devices)
- Demonstrated project management skills
Education & Professional Experience:
- HSPD-12 certification (or willingness to obtain) (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is recommended
