Job Description:
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of DevOps tasks, guiding junior team members, and ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our software development lifecycle (SDLC) pipelines. You will work on cutting-edge technologies and be instrumental in challenging the existing status quo to streamline our entire pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the design, implementation, and management of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Kubernetes.
· Develop and maintain deployment architecture, ensuring adherence to cloud best practices.
· Own the end-to-end delivery of DevOps tasks, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
· Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
· Implement FinOps strategies to optimize cloud resource usage and cost management.
· Utilize Large Language Models (LLM) for day-to-day DevOps activities to enhance productivity and efficiency.
· Manage and upgrade End-of-Life (EOL) components to ensure system stability and security.
· Challenge existing processes and practices, driving innovation and improvements in the DevOps pipeline.
· Oversee Git branch management and ensure best practices are followed.
· Ensure infrastructure security and resiliency, implementing robust security measures.
· Set up and manage Kafka and Elasticsearch clusters, ensuring their resiliency and performance.
· Utilize Helm for Kubernetes package management and deployment.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software solutions.
· Perform production releases, ensuring smooth and high-quality delivery from development to production.
· Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure and applications, leveraging cloud services.
· Work with monitoring and observability tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk, DataDog, etc., to ensure system performance and reliability.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· Over 7 years of experience in DevOps, with a strong focus on Jenkins, Kubernetes, and SDLC pipelines.
· Proven experience in deployment architecture and cloud best practices.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor junior team members.
· Experience in FinOps and optimizing cloud resource usage.
· Familiarity with using LLM for DevOps activities.
· Experience with managing EOL components and driving process improvements.
· Proficient in Git branch management and infrastructure security.
· Knowledge of setting up and managing Kafka and Elasticsearch, including their resiliency.
· Experience with Helm for Kubernetes package management.
· Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk, DataDog, etc.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to challenge the status quo.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience in financial services or a related industry.
· Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
· Strong communication and collaboration skills.
