Job Description: Jira Administrator (Lead Role)
We are seeking an experienced Jira Administrator with 7 to 9 years of expertise to take on a lead role in managing, optimizing, and scaling our Atlassian Jira environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Jira administration, governance, integrations, and best practices for enterprise-level implementations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the administration, configuration, and customization of Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
• Design, implement, and maintain Jira projects, workflows, schemes, custom fields, permissions, and notifications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Jira solutions.
• Establish governance, standards, and best practices for Jira usage across the organization.
• Manage user access, roles, and security settings in line with organizational policies.
• Monitor Jira system performance, conduct regular health checks, and manage upgrades or migrations.
• Integrate Jira with other enterprise tools and platforms (e.g., Slack, GitHub, Jenkins, ServiceNow).
• Develop dashboards, reports, and metrics to support leadership and operational teams.
• Mentor and guide junior Jira administrators or support staff.
• Work closely with IT, DevOps, and business teams to ensure seamless Jira adoption and usage.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• 7 to 9 years of experience in Jira administration, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
• Strong knowledge of Jira Software (Cloud and/or Data Center) and Confluence administration.
• Proven experience designing complex workflows, schemes, and automation rules.
• Hands-on experience with Jira integrations, APIs, and add-ons/marketplace apps.
