AWS Infrastructure Engineer
A global quantitative investment firm is seeking an AWS Infrastructure Engineer to join its Cloud Infrastructure team. The role involves designing, building, and supporting cloud-based solutions that meet diverse business needs. You'll work closely with trading, research, and other teams to drive cloud adoption and implement a cloud-first approach. Cloud infrastructure underpins key areas including research, trading, execution, and data processing.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure, scalable AWS infrastructure
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Monitor and optimize performance and cost
- Support application deployment and operations
- Recommend technologies to improve reliability and scalability
- Troubleshoot AWS-related issues
Qualifications:
- Strong experience with AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, etc.)
- Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash)
- Familiar with tools like Ansible and Terraform
- Experience with containers (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes)
- Skilled in cloud monitoring and performance tuning
- Understanding of agile development practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- 5+ years of experience in AWS environment
