Senior Cloud Engineer
About the job:
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in AWS and TypeScript/Node.js to lead the development of scalable, serverless solutions. This role blends hands-on engineering with mentoring and collaboration across global teams. Ideal candidates are proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about cloud-native architecture.
What you will do at Sogeti:
- Design and build serverless applications using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge, and more.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using AWS CDK.
- Write clean, scalable code in TypeScript/JavaScript (Node.js).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver robust solutions.
- Monitor and optimize application performance, security, and cost.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Review code and mentor team members to elevate engineering standards.
What you will bring:
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript (Node.js).
- Hands-on experience with AWS serverless services and architecture.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices design.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in Agile teams.
- Experience mentoring developers and collaborating with offshore teams.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for serverless applications using AWS CDK.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools like Bamboo, CloudForge, or GitHub Actions.
- AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with cost optimization and performance tuning in AWS environments.
