We're seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the scalability, reliability, and operational excellence of our cloud-based SaaS pharmacy procurement platform. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys automation, cloud engineering, and building systems that empower development teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently.
As part of a cross-functional product team, you will partner with developers, QA, and IT to maintain cloud infrastructure, improve deployment pipelines, and enhance observability across environments.
Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and deployment.
- Assist in managing cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), ensuring performance, cost-efficiency, and stability.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Monitor application and system health using logging, metrics, and alerting tools.
- Support environment provisioning, configuration management, and automation of routine operational tasks.
- Work with engineering teams to ensure smooth deployment and release processes.
- Manage and maintain containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools (ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes).
- Maintain security best practices across cloud environments, including IAM, secrets management, and network configuration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues across development, staging, and production environments.
- Stay current with new tools, technologies, and DevOps best practices to support ongoing platform improvements.
Desired Education and Experience Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and ECS.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
- Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration concepts.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, security principles, and cloud architecture best practices.
- Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, pharmacy, finance) preferred but not required.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work collaboratively in Agile teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Evaluation and Process Improvement:
- Annual performance reviews and goal setting.
- Expected to contribute recommendations for process and operational improvements.
Job Location:
- Remote office.
- Travel is expected at least once per year for an onsite company meeting.
