About Position:
We are seeking DevOps SRE with hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, Kubernetes, Terraforms, etc.,

What You'll Do:
- Design, maintain, and optimize our core products’ production tooling, building robust management systems to increase the productivity of SRE and Engineering teams.
- Integrate industry-standard CNCF projects into the Proofpoint Product Operations ecosystem.
- Interact with Product Engineering and Operations teams to understand requirements and drive solutions.
- Work in a dynamic environment and respond to interruptions promptly.
- Provide L2 support for Infrastructure services running in production.
- Provide mentoring to others within the team and the larger Ops org.
Expertise You'll Bring:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively across teams and functions.
- Proactive and Independent: A self-starter who can take ownership of projects, drive initiatives independently, and adapt quickly to changing requirements.
- Cloud Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, including significant experience with Azure AKS and Kubernetes-based migrations.
- Strong IAC and Automation Skills: Proficiency with Terraform, Helm, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Go) for automated infrastructure management and configuration.
- DevOps and CI/CD Experience: Expertise in building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Argo CD for efficient application deployment and updates during migration.
- Monitoring and Observability: Proven experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Open Telemetry for comprehensive monitoring and logging
- Security Expertise: Knowledge of cloud security tools and practices, including Trivy or Snyk.
- Experience with Multi-Cloud Abstraction: Knowledge of tools like Crossplane, Rancher, or Cluster API for creating a unified abstraction layer over AWS, GKE, and AKS.
- Experience in building standardized interfaces for managing Kubernetes resources across multiple cloud providers is a plus.
- Kubernetes Mastery: In-depth understanding of Kubernetes, including Helm charts, Kubectl, CRDs, Ingress Controllers (e.g., NGINX), and Service Mesh (e.g., Istio, Linkerd)
