ROLE SUMMARY:

DESCRIPTION:
As a DevOps + Backend Engineering Intern at PetYosa, you will dive into the intersection of coding and systems operations. You will be part of a vibrant team where you'll assist in building scalable backend architectures and automate deployment processes. This is an opportunity to gain invaluable experience in cloud technologies, bare metal servers, and version control systems. Collaborating directly with developers and the operations team will refine your skills in Python, Java, Node.js, and in various cloud environments like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with backend developers to design and implement efficient systems.
- Support DevOps activities focused on infrastructure and deployment automation.
- Assist in maintaining and optimizing in-premise servers and cloud infrastructure.
- Engage in troubleshooting and performance tuning of a multi-database environment.
- Utilize version control systems like Git for efficient code management.
- Contribute to performance monitoring and logging efforts.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and Node.js.
- Basic knowledge of cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Familiarity with version control system Git.Strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in DevOps principles.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Prior experience with in-memory databases like Redis or Memcached.
- Basic understanding of server operations and bare metal setups.Any DevOps certification is a plus.
EDUCATION: B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science
