Software Engineer – DevOps

About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer – DevOps with strong experience in CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, automation, and Kubernetes environments. The ideal candidate will drive the design and implementation of scalable DevOps platforms supporting enterprise applications including eCommerce, retail, supply chain, and call center systems.
You will build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and developer self-service tools that accelerate software delivery while improving reliability and efficiency across engineering teams.
This role requires a strong background in cloud platforms, container orchestration, automation scripting, and DevOps best practices, along with the ability to collaborate closely with development, architecture, and infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications
- Develop automation tools and scripts using Python, Groovy, Shell, or Java
- Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Manage Kubernetes deployments using Helm charts
- Monitor and improve the reliability and performance of DevOps platforms
- Investigate and resolve pipeline failures, build issues, and deployment problems
- Collaborate with developers to onboard applications into CI/CD frameworks
- Support development teams throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Partner with Infrastructure teams to provision and manage environments
- Lead implementation of DevOps best practices, standards, and automation strategies
- Improve engineering efficiency through self-service tooling and process optimization
- Support production incident resolution and root cause analysis
- Mentor engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Required Skills
- 5-6 years of DevOps / Platform Engineering experience
- Strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Helm / Helm Charts
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins and Jenkins Pipelines
- Programming experience in Python, Groovy, Shell scripting, or Java
- Experience with Git / GitHub Enterprise
- Build tools such as Maven
- Experience with Node.js / npm environments
- Ability to troubleshoot Java stack traces and Node.js logs
Nice to Have
- Experience working with enterprise CI/CD platforms
- Experience supporting eCommerce or high-traffic platforms
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
