Job Role
- Own and manage the Kong API Gateway: declarative configuration (via decK), routing rules (content-based by order type, market, and API version), authentication/authorisation (OAuth 2.0, JWT), rate limiting, and TLS termination.
- Design and maintain the Kubernetes infrastructure for all ACL services, including namespace strategy, resource quotas, HPA autoscaling, and network policies.
- Build and manage Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform for multi-cloud deployments (GCP primary, Alibaba Cloud for China).
Required Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Kong API Gateway (or equivalent: Envoy, Apigee, AWS API Gateway) including plugin development and declarative configuration.
- Deep Kubernetes expertise: cluster administration, Helm/Kustomize, operators, troubleshooting production issues.
- Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices across at least two cloud providers.
- Hands-on CI/CD pipeline design with GitHub Actions (or equivalent: GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing tools (Jaeger, Zipkin, or OpenTelemetry).
- Strong Linux systems knowledge; comfortable with container security, network policies, and secrets management.
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices: SAST/DAST integration, dependency scanning, container image scanning.
Nice to Have
- Multi-cloud experience including Alibaba Cloud or other China-deployed infrastructure.
- Experience with Solace PubSub+ infrastructure management.
- Kubernetes operator development experience.
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
