We are seeking a versatile Systems & Support Engineer to manage our server infrastructure and provide high-level technical assistance. This role is perfect for a problem-solver who enjoys the technical challenge of DevOps/SysAdmin work but also finds fulfillment in helping people—whether that’s a colleague at the next desk or a customer using our external products.
Infrastructure & DevOps
- System Maintenance: Administer a hybrid environment of Windows/Linux servers and cloud tenants (Azure/AWS), ensuring 99.9% uptime.
- Automation: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts to reduce manual overhead.
- Database & Security: Oversee database health (SQL/Oracle) and maintain secure remote access gateways and firewalls.
Internal IT Support
- Employee Enablement: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal hardware and software issues (macOS, Windows, and Linux).
- Onboarding: Manage identity and access for new hires, including account provisioning in Entra ID/Active Directory.
- Fleet Management: Maintain internal workstations, peripherals, and office networking equipment.
External Customer Support
- Tier 2/3 Technical Support: Act as an escalation point for external customers facing complex technical hurdles with our products or services.
- Client Communication: Translate complex technical solutions into clear, actionable instructions for non-technical users.
- Documentation: Create and maintain external "Knowledge Base" articles and FAQs based on recurring customer issues.
Technical Requirements- Hybrid Systems: Proven experience managing both Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Cloud & Identity: Strong background in cloud administration and centralized identity management.
- Support Tooling: Experience using ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Jira Service Management) and remote desktop support tools.
- Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate repetitive support tasks.
Preferred Qualifications- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a "customer-first" mindset.
- Adaptability: Ability to pivot quickly between deep-focus engineering tasks and urgent support requests.
- Certification: CompTIA A+, Network+, or cloud-specific support certifications are a plus.
