Overview
We are looking for a DevOps Lead to drive infrastructure, deployment strategy, and environment stability for the IPAM platform and broader BT account. This role will own end-to-end DevOps practices across CST, UAT, and Production, ensuring reliable releases, scalable architecture, and rapid issue resolution.
Responsibilities
- Own and define DevOps strategy, CI/CD architecture, and deployment standards
- Lead and optimize CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Spinnaker) for reliability and speed
- Drive Kubernetes architecture and deployment strategy, including scaling, resilience, and cost optimization
- Take ownership of environment stability and availability across CST, UAT, and Prod
- Lead resolution of critical infra issues (routing, DB connectivity, cross-zone access, firewall/NAT constraints)
- Define and enforce monitoring, logging, and alerting strategy (Dynatrace and others)
- Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Architecture teams to enable smooth releases and demos
- Establish best practices for automation, security, and access control (RBAC)
- Drive performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimization
- Mentor and guide DevOps engineers; act as escalation point for complex issues
- Experience in API Gateway configuration, routing, authentication, and rate limiting (Kong preferred)
Requirements
- 6-10+ years in DevOps / SRE with at least 2+ years in a lead role
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (design, troubleshooting, scaling)
- Deep understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Spinnaker or similar)
- Strong knowledge of networking (DNS, routing, firewall, NAT, cross-zone connectivity)
- Experience with database connectivity and performance (PostgreSQL or similar)
- Expertise in monitoring/observability (Dynatrace / Prometheus / Grafana)
- Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, or similar)
- Experience working in enterprise / hybrid environments
Good to Have
- Experience in telecom domain / network systems
- Exposure to Spring Boot-based applications
- Experience with multi-environment setups (CST, Preprod, Prod)
- Knowledge of security, compliance, and access governance
