We are looking for a highly accomplished Lead Cloud AWS DevOps Architect with 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in designing, building, and governing enterprise-scale cloud platforms and DevOps ecosystems. This role requires strong architectural ownership, deep cloud expertise across AWS preferred, and Azure, and the ability to drive DevOps transformation at an organizational level. The successful candidate will act as a technical authority and strategic advisor, defining cloud and DevOps standards, mentoring engineering teams, and ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-efficient platforms that support business growth. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both architecture-level thinking and real-world execution.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly accomplished Lead Cloud AWS DevOps Architect with 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in designing, building, and governing enterprise-scale cloud platforms and DevOps ecosystems.
Responsibilities
- Cloud Architecture Platform Leadership
- Own the end-to-end cloud platform architecture, defining target-state designs, reference architectures, and roadmaps across AWS, AWS, and Azure.
- Design and govern highly available, resilient, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructures aligned with enterprise architecture standards and Well Architected Frameworks.
- Lead design decisions for networking, compute, storage, identity, security, and connectivity across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
- DevOps CICD Strategy
- Define and drive the DevOps strategy, standards, and best practices across multiple teams and delivery units.
- Architect and standardize enterprise-grade CICD platforms using tools such as DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub, and GitLab CI.
- Enable consistent deployment models, release strategies, and quality gates for large-scale application portfolios.
- Champion automation-first and self-service platform principles.
- Infrastructure as Code Automation
- Lead Infrastructure as Code IaC adoption and governance using Terraform Preferred, and or Bicep optional.
- Establish reusable modules, blueprints, and environment standards to support multi-region and multi-environment deployments.
- Ensure versioning, testing, and review processes for IaC assets.
- Container Cloud-Native Platforms
- Architect and govern container platforms using Docker and Kubernetes AKS EKS.
- Define Kubernetes standards for scalability, security, networking, and lifecycle management.
- Observability, Reliability Security Engineering
- Design and implement enterprise observability frameworks covering metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, or equivalent tools.
- Establish SRE practices, including SLIsSLOs, incident response processes, and post incident learning.
- Ensure strong security posture, including IAM strategy, secrets management, encryption, access control, and policy enforcement using Azure Policy, IAM, and Key Vaults.
- Leadership, Collaboration Mentorship
- Serve as technical authority and escalation point for complex cloud and DevOps challenges.
- Coach, mentor, and guide senior, mid-level, and junior engineers, improving overall DevOps maturity.
- Partner closely with development, QA, security, architecture, and business stakeholders to align technology with business objectives.
- Contribute to architecture reviews, design forums, and technology governance boards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
- 8 to 12+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles.
- Deep hands-on expertise with AWS preferred and strong working experience with Azure.
- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale CICD platforms and cloud architectures.
- Expert-level knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation frameworks.
- Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native ecosystems.
- Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong foundation in networking, security, identity, and enterprise architecture principles.

- Experience with serverless architectures Azure Functions AWS Lambda.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise or regulated environments.
