About the Role
Our client in the Atlanta area is looking for an experienced Azure Cloud / Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of modern cloud infrastructure. This role is ideal for a hands-on architect with deep experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC)—specifically Terraform and Bicep—who enjoys building scalable, secure, and automated cloud environments.
What You’ll Do
- Architect, design, and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using Terraform and Bicep
- Lead infrastructure standardization, automation, and IaC best practices across environments
- Design secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures (Azure-focused preferred)
- Partner with application, DevOps, and security teams to support cloud-native solutions
- Review and optimize existing infrastructure for cost, performance, and reliability
- Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
- Provide technical leadership, documentation, and architectural guidance
- Ensure compliance with governance, security, and operational standards
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud engineering, or architecture roles
- Proven experience designing and deploying infrastructure using Terraform
- Hands-on experience with Bicep for Azure resource provisioning
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity, security, and governance
- Experience with Azure services (vNet, VM, App Services, Storage, Key Vault, etc.)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
Nice to Have
- Azure certifications (Azure Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, or similar)
- Experience supporting hybrid environments
- Exposure to Kubernetes, container platforms, or platform engineering concepts
- Prior experience in enterprise or regulated environments
