Our client is seeking a DevOps Engineer to help accelerate development velocity, improve code quality and security, and optimize engineering processes across the organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about driving automation, scalability, and efficiency.
You’ll work closely with engineering teams, identifying bottlenecks in development and deployment workflows while implementing solutions that enhance performance and developer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Tech Leads and development teams to identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements
- Analyze and eliminate bottlenecks across coding, testing, and deployment pipelines
- Design and implement automation strategies to improve delivery speed and code quality
- Develop and enforce coding and deployment standards across teams
- Perform daily system health checks, including monitoring disk space, system uptime, and environment status
- Deploy application artifacts across environments using modern cloud infrastructure
- Maintain and enhance infrastructure-as-code (IaC) frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver consistent DevOps practices across the organization
- Gather feedback from developers to continuously improve workflows and tooling
- Troubleshoot and support cloud-based environments and deployment systems
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong development experience with .NET, C#, or Java
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining APIs
- Proven experience with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Azure services, including:
- Azure Functions
- Webhooks
- Service Bus / Queue systems
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Perl)
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration:
- Docker
- Kubernetes / OpenShift
- Experience with CI/CD tools:
- Jenkins, Git, Maven, SonarQube, etc.
- Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working as a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in an Agile environment
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS + Azure)
- Experience supporting high-scale cloud architectures (PaaS/SaaS)
