About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Cloud Engineer to support the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure and services. This role is ideal for beginners who are looking to start their career in Cloud Computing and gain hands-on experience with leading cloud platforms.
You will work under the guidance of senior engineers and contribute to basic cloud operations, monitoring, and support activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the deployment and management of cloud infrastructure.
- Support configuration and maintenance of cloud services.
- Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, and basic issues.
- Help in setting up virtual machines, storage, and networking resources.
- Support troubleshooting of basic cloud-related incidents.
- Assist in implementing security best practices under supervision.
- Maintain documentation of cloud environments and configurations.
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams on operational tasks.
- Participate in routine system checks and updates.
- Learn and apply cloud concepts through hands-on tasks and training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent training.
- Basic understanding of IT fundamentals (networks, operating systems, servers).
- Awareness of cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of networking and Linux/Windows systems.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to cloud labs, internships, or training programs.
- Understanding of virtualization and container basics (VMs, Docker fundamentals).
- Awareness of DevOps concepts (CI/CD, automation) is an advantage.
- Entry-level certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner or Azure Fundamentals (optional).
