Title: Jr Infrastructure Cloud Engineer
Location: Onsite 3-4 days a week in NYC

We're hiring a Junior Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to join our Infrastructure Engineering team. This role suits someone with a strong base in Microsoft technologies who likes getting hands-on with technical challenges and is looking to grow toward a senior engineering career. You'll gain broad exposure to Windows, Azure, VMware, monitoring, automation, and enterprise security while working alongside a high-performing global engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Operations & Support
- Serve as an escalation point for the Help Desk, connecting support teams with engineering
- Maintain Windows Server (2016–2025) environments, covering AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, Sites & Services, and trust management
- Manage and support Azure AD / Entra ID, MFA, enterprise apps, and conditional access policies
- Oversee day-to-day administration of Azure compute and infrastructure resources
- Run Intune for MDM purposes, including device enrollment, compliance policies, configuration profiles, and ongoing monitoring
- Configure desktop policies via Intune, covering security baselines, Windows update rings, and device settings
- Roll out and maintain applications through Intune using current application packaging, assignment, and update practices
- Track infrastructure health using Azure Monitoring and SolarWinds
- Help drive vulnerability remediation, patch cycles, and risk-reduction work
- Engineer and administer VDI environments and thin clients, including Horizon, VMware, Windows 365, and Dell ThinOS
- Provision and maintain Azure infrastructure resources and compute using Terraform
Monitoring, Health & Reliability
- Track infrastructure health using Azure Monitoring and SolarWinds
- Take the lead on vulnerability remediation, patch cycles, and risk-reduction initiatives
Virtualization & End-User Platforms
- Maintain VMware ESXi (6.5+) environments supporting both server and VDI workloads
- Help manage Windows 365 Cloud PC platforms and thin client technology
Automation & Tooling
- Write PowerShell scripts to support automation and system management
- Help automate software deployment using Intune and modern configuration tools
- Create automation jobs, maintenance schedules, and provisioning workflows with ActiveBatch and Terraform
Operational Engineering Tasks
- Manage certificate lifecycle activities, including SSL renewals, bindings, and inventory tracking
- Participate in planned change windows, maintenance work, and post-deployment checks
- Write and maintain runbooks, procedures, and operational documentation
Required Skills & Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in infrastructure, systems administration, or IT operations
- Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure AD
- Familiarity with VMware, virtual desktop technology, or Windows 365
- Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and Azure Monitor
- Skilled at troubleshooting system, network, or authentication problems
- Strong communicator with a genuine eagerness to learn quickly
- Basic familiarity with Terraform and modern developer tools (e.g., AI tools, Visual Studio)
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Intune (Apps, Configuration Profiles, Compliance)
- Some exposure to load balancers (e.g., NetScaler)
- Familiarity with certificate management and server hardening practices
- Prior experience in fast-paced financial or multi-tenant environments
- Experience administering M365 Enterprise, including Office and Exchange Online
- Comfortable working within a financial firm ecosystem or high-pressure setting, with strong prioritization skills
