Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for an Ansible & Jenkins DevOps Engineer. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, as well as managing configuration and deployment automation with Ansible. The DevOps Engineer will build and maintain infrastructure as code, support application releases, and ensure system reliability, scalability, and security across environments. Day-to-day activities include collaborating with development teams to streamline build and deployment processes, monitoring and troubleshooting Linux-based systems, optimizing performance, and documenting workflows and standards. The role also requires active participation in improving DevOps practices, tools, and automation to support Dimension1’s product engineering and startup-focused initiatives.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, including experience with tools such as Ansible and related automation frameworks.
- Candidates should possess solid Continuous Integration experience, particularly with Jenkins, including pipeline creation, maintenance, and integration with version control systems.
- Candidates should possess System Administration capabilities, including managing servers, networking basics, security best practices, and monitoring/alerting tools.
- Candidates should possess practical Linux skills, including command-line proficiency, shell scripting, and troubleshooting in production environments.
- Candidates should possess a foundation in Software Development concepts, including version control (Git), basic scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash), and collaboration with engineering teams.
- Relevant qualifications include a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in DevOps or infrastructure roles.
- Experience with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and security/compliance practices will be beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment, and clear written and verbal communication are important for success in this role.
