Role Description The Junior DevOps Engineer role at Spydra is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure that supports Spydra’s APIs and developer tools. Day-to-day tasks include managing and monitoring Linux-based systems, contributing to infrastructure as code implementations, and supporting continuous integration pipelines for development teams. The Junior DevOps Engineer will collaborate with software engineers to streamline deployments, improve system reliability, and ensure environments are secure and scalable. The role also involves troubleshooting operational issues, documenting processes, and participating in on-site team discussions to drive improvements in tooling and workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Linux and system administration, with the ability to manage, monitor, and troubleshoot server environments.
- Experience or familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) practices and tools, supporting automated provisioning and configuration of environments.
- Understanding of continuous integration concepts and pipelines, working alongside development teams to support efficient and reliable builds and deployments.
- Basic software development skills, with the ability to read, understand, and script in common languages used for automation and tooling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (such as AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (such as Docker and Kubernetes) is beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced engineering environment.
