*Moody’s is looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer with experience integrating Databricks with Azure infrastructure services. This is NOT a Data Engineer – this is someone who has worked on the infrastructure of the Azure platform and has integrated Databricks into the various services within Azure infrastructure.*
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency with core Azure infrastructure services.
- Background in Platform Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks infrastructure
- Experience integrating Databricks with Azure infrastructure services (Event hub, CosmosDB, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Cosmos DB and related Azure data services.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI.
- Understanding of Azure security, role-based access control (RBAC), and networking
About the Role
We are seeking a Cloud Azure Engineer with a strong background in cloud infrastructure and a specialization in data services. This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in managing Azure-based data systems, including Cosmos DB, and a passion for building scalable and secure data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and manage Azure infrastructure including VMs, storage accounts, virtual networks, and network security groups.
- Design and manage scalable data solutions using Azure services such as Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, and Data Lake Storage.
- Implement best practices in data availability, redundancy, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Support data ingestion, transformation, and storage pipelines in collaboration with data engineers.
- Monitor performance and optimize database and storage configurations.
- Automate infrastructure deployment using ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments using Jira and GitHub.
