About the Role
We need a Technical Architect to design and build our internal Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This platform manages the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding. It serves corporate employees and the contingent workforce. The system supports business units like Client Services, Onboarding, Employee Care, Delivery, and Legal and Compliance. You will design secure workflows to handle sensitive data and access controls. You will use Angular, Node.js, AWS, Lambda, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. You must ensure the infrastructure is stable and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- System Analysis and Improvement: Review the existing system architecture. Propose changes to fix structural issues or improve scale. Drive the continuous improvement of the HRIS product.
- System Design: Create high-level and low-level designs for the HRIS platform. Define data flow and component interactions across all modules.
- Platform Modularization: Structure and scale system modules. These include RFOP, RFBGV, Client profiles, Corporate profiles, and Associate Tracking.
- Application Security: Protect sensitive employee data. Enforce secure coding practices, including those outlined in the OWASP Top 10. Implement data encryption and audit logging.
- Access Management: Design Role-Based Access Control and Attribute-Based Access Control models. Isolate data across different dashboards and user roles.
- Code Quality and Standards: Define engineering best practices for the team. Create detailed checklists for unit testing, peer reviews, and code reviews. Conduct regular code reviews to ensure compliance with these standards. Guide the team in Test -Driven Development.
- Database Design: Optimize PostgreSQL and MySQL schemas for transactional data. Use temporal database designs for effective dates.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Manage AWS cloud architecture. Use AWS Lambda for event triggers. Secure the infrastructure with IAM, KMS, and WAF.
- Deployment Governance: Manage the deployment process with Jenkins. Build secure and automated pipelines.
Required Skills
- System Analysis and Architecture: Proven experience analyzing and designing enterprise systems. Ability to create scalable system architectures and technical documentation. Experience with state machine design for workflows.
- Code Review and Quality Assurance: Experience defining best practices for software engineering. Skill in creating structured checklists for peer reviews and unit testing. Ability to conduct strict code reviews.
- Frontend Engineering: Strong knowledge of Angular. Experience building administrative dashboards and self -service portals. Knowledge of client -side state management and unit testing tools like Jasmine or Jest.
- Backend Engineering: Experience with Node.js. Ability to build APIs using REST or GraphQL. Experience with Unit Testing and Test -Driven Development using Jest or Mocha.
- Database Management: Experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL. Skill in designing temporal databases.
- Cloud and Security: Experience with AWS services like VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, and Lambda , u nderstanding of AWS Security practices.
- DevOps: Experience with Jenkins for continuous integration and delivery. Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and SAST or DAST tools.
Good to Have Skills
- Business Analysis: Translate business needs into technical plans. Create wireframes and mockups to map user journeys. Lead technical demos for stakeholders. Translate demo feedback into sprint tasks.
- Agile and Project Management: Understand Agile lifecycles , such as Scrum or Kanban. Lead sprint planning. Remove blocks for engineering teams.
- Documentation Tools: Use the MS Office Suite. Use Excel for data models, PowerPoint for presentations, and Visio for diagrams. Use Swagger or OpenAPI for API docs.
- Integrations: Connect in -house systems with external vendors. This includes background -check APIs, payroll providers, and identity providers such as Okta.
- Analytics: Design data warehouses or read replicas for HR reporting.
Minimum Qualifications and Work Model
- Experience: 8 or more years of software engineering experience. 3 or more years as a Technical Architect.
- Education: Bachelor s or master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent specializations .
- Work Model: Work from the Hyderabad office 4 days a week.
