Day in the Life
• Tests the functionality and performance of medical device software systems – Desktop, mobile apps, web apps.
• Develops and executes test plans and scripts designed to detect problems in medical device software systems/applications.
• Create test reports used for regulatory submissions.
• Ensures medical device software systems and software applications meets technical and functional requirements.
• Performs workflow analysis, documents test results and recommends quality improvements.
• Works with development to resolve software defects and diagnose/improve product configuration for current and future models.
• Reviews test automation frameworks, tools, techniques, and methodologies.
• Manages completion of own work assignments and coordinates work with others.
• Identifies and encourages areas for growth and improvement.
• Continues to strengthen industry knowledge and use that knowledge to improve the quality of our products.
• Additional duties as assigned.
Must Have – Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field with 8+ years of engineering experience
· 5+ years of experience in testing Applications (Desktop + Web)
· Experience with test case management software tools
· Excellent technical documentation skills for formal V&V regulatory submissions
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
• Experience in the medical device industry or other regulated industries
• Experience with developing and maintaining automated testing systems
· Proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework, Selenium)
· Hands-on automation scripting experience in Java/Python
· Familiarity with Git, Jenkins CI, and the ability to build a test pipeline.
• Experience with testing software-controlled hardware devices
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
