We are seeking an experienced AWS Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and govern enterprise cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will define cloud architecture standards, build secure and scalable platforms, drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and enable modern DevOps and Platform Engineering practices. Working closely with engineering, security, and operations teams, you will deliver resilient, automated, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture
- Design secure, scalable, and highly available AWS infrastructure.
- Develop cloud standards, reference architectures, and best practices.
- Architect multi-account and multi-region AWS environments.
- Evaluate and recommend new AWS services and technologies.
Platform Engineering
- Design and manage cloud platforms using Amazon EKS, ECS, EC2, and serverless services.
- Define platform standards for Kubernetes, networking, autoscaling, and shared services.
- Enable self-service infrastructure for engineering teams.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
- Lead Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Terragrunt, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.
- Develop reusable Terraform modules and manage state, versioning, and environment promotion.
- Implement GitOps and CI/CD practices to automate infrastructure and application deployments.
Networking & Security
- Design AWS networking using VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, ALB/NLB, and PrivateLink.
- Implement IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and AWS Config following AWS security best practices.
- Support compliance with standards such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
Operations & Reliability
- Implement monitoring and observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Develop backup, disaster recovery, and incident response strategies.
- Optimize cloud performance, availability, and cost using AWS-native tools.
Leadership
- Provide technical leadership and mentor Cloud Engineers.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver cloud solutions.
- Drive cloud governance, platform standards, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- 8+ years in infrastructure or cloud engineering, including 5+ years on AWS.
- Experience designing enterprise AWS architectures and Kubernetes platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience leading cloud engineering initiatives and mentoring technical teams.
