The Role
We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in AWS and experience with Azure to lead our cloud infrastructure, DevOps, automation, observability, reliability, and DevSecOps initiatives. This is a highly hands-on senior-level role responsible for architecting, implementing, troubleshooting, and continuously improving Redica’s infrastructure while providing technical leadership and mentoring across Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, deployment, and operation of AWS production infrastructure, with Azure as a secondary cloud.
- Design secure, highly available, scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud architectures across compute, networking, storage, databases, security, and platform services.
- Build and maintain reusable Terraform modules and automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Design and operate container platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, ECS/Fargate, and Helm; support Azure AKS where appropriate.
- Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, security scanning, deployment, rollback, and release processes; apply GitOps practices where appropriate.
- Build production observability using Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, AWS CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, CloudTrail, logging, metrics, alerting, and distributed tracing.
- Establish reliability metrics, SLIs/SLOs, and operational KPIs; lead incident response, complex production troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and improvements that reduce alert fatigue.
- Embed security into infrastructure, CI/CD, and cloud operations using AWS IAM, KMS, Security Groups, NACLs, CloudTrail, Config, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Secrets Manager, and appropriate vulnerability-management controls.
- Implement SAST, SCA, secrets scanning, container scanning, IaC scanning, cloud security posture management, and security remediation while supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and related compliance requirements.
- Own backup and disaster-recovery architecture and testing aligned to defined RTO/RPO requirements, and drive cloud cost optimization through rightsizing, autoscaling, tagging, reserved capacity/Savings Plans, and infrastructure optimization.
- Act as a technical authority for Cloud, DevOps, and Infrastructure: lead architecture reviews, define cloud and IaC standards, mentor engineers, partner with Engineering, Security, AI, Product, and QA, and use AI and automation to improve engineering quality, reliability, and efficiency.
