Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with AWS experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices and AWS cloud infrastructure, with expertise in automating and optimizing deployment pipelines, managing infrastructure as code, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems. The ideal candidate should have worked as an individual contributor.
Responsibilities:
· Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS databases, and VPCs.
· Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
· Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
· Monitor system performance, availability, and security, and implement proactive measures to optimize and secure our systems.
· Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions for critical systems and data.
· Collaborate with development teams to streamline the deployment process and ensure the reliability and scalability of our applications.
· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and assist in troubleshooting complex issues.
· Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud computing, DevOps, and system administration.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
· 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud infrastructure management, DevOps, and system administration.
· Strong understanding of AWS services and best practices, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
· Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
· Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
· Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
· Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
· Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and system monitoring tools.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a production environment.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
· AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are a plus.
