Key Responsibilities
- CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process. Ensure that deployments are reliable and efficient.
- Configuration Management: Utilise tools like Ansible and Terraform to manage infrastructure as code (IaC) and automate configuration tasks across multiple environments.
- Automation: Streamline processes through automation of repetitive tasks, improving efficiency and reducing human error in deployment and operations.
- Containerization: Implement containerization strategies using Docker to package applications for consistent deployment across various environments.
- Orchestration: Manage container orchestration using Kubernetes to ensure scalability, availability, and efficient resource utilisation of applications.
- Collaboration Tools: Utilize Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) for project management and documentation. Collaborate with development teams to ensure alignment on deployment strategies.
- Version Control: Manage source code repositories using GitLab or similar tools, ensuring version control best practices are followed.
- Experience in AWS, GCP is advantageous.
Required Skills
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for deploying applications and managing resources.
- Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash,Shell Scripts, Python, or Ruby to automate tasks effectively.
- Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Zabbix) to track application performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Networking Knowledge: Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure secure communication between services.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments, contributing to iterative development processes that enhance product quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science or a related field is typically preferred.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator can be advantageous.
