Purpose of the Role
This role is to lead a team responsible for EV powertrain application development for HPC platform for Software defined vehicles. Responsible for design development, integration and testing of the EV powertrain applications.
Job Responsibility
- Responsible for technically leading the team to develop application codes, features and functions of EV powertrain for HPC platform.
- Responsible for decomposition of legacy application and derive features, functions, services that can be developed independently, designing these functions, features, its interactions and defining of the APIs for the same.
- Review the partitioning the EV powertrain applications to HPC and finalise EV powertrain functions and feature for software defined vehicles than can be offered as SAAS.
- Conduct technical reviews for EV powertrain application function/feature design, implementation and integration.
- Oversee the Automotive cyber security and functional safety implementation and adherence throughout the software development lifecycle while design, development of application, services, features and functions. Oversee TARA, HARA, security concepts, safety requirements, implementation and testing.
- Responsible for planning, execution, and reporting of software design activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Responsible for work break down, task estimation and assignment to team and project monitoring.
- Ensure team and competencies building, identify training needs to build competency.
- Support budget and resource estimation for the project.

Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor or master’s in mechanical/ electronic/electrical engineering with minimum 12 + years of experience to lead a team responsible for control algorithms development for electric vehicles.
- Detailed understanding about EV powertrain aggregates like BMS, DC-DC, OBC, EVCU and Motor control.
- Understanding of embedded controller, software architecture and functional safety concept
- Deep understanding of linear control system design with estimation algorithm
- Have delivered projects on control system Calibration & Testing
- Understanding of model based control algorithm development process
- Experience in Embedded C, auto code generation using Embedded coder, Matlab Simulink.
- Experience with electric vehicle technologies and control theory.
- Knowledge of software defined vehicles, SAAS.
- Knowledge of ASPICE, automotive cyber security ISO 23434 and functional safety ISO 26262
- Knowledge of EV powertrain functions of Battery management, electric vehicle control, DC-DC, charging and motor controls
