Required Skills
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or similar relevant degree.
- Working experience as a DevOps role 8 to10 years.
- Experience in Linux/Unix administration and understanding of Linux/Unix security. Experience in Linux/Unix scripting using bash, python or Ansible.
- Experience with Virtual Box and/or VMware, Integration and virtualization concepts
- Working Experience with Cloud Infrastructure like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure.
- Experience with Docker & Kubernetes,Docker Containers and monitoring tools like Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc. Hands-on experience with MySQL and/or MariaDB
- Strong understanding of computer networking concepts and network security
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills and strong understanding of rules and procedures for production handling
Preferred Skills
- US Client handling experience will be a plus.
- Maturity and ability to research and find solutions independently.
- AWS or Red Hat certification will be considered an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Migration and management of production systems to AWS
- Production support for the systems
- User provisioning and security permissions handling
- Automate the backup and recovery of DBs & file systems.
- Handle daily technical support activities on desktop support, data network, and server management.
- Coordination with US team and project manager.
- Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs
- Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments. To subversion control like Git and SVN.
- Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions.
- Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning
- Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hotfixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware.
- Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks.
- Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment.
- Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
- Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues
- Develop scripts to automate visualization
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
