Key Responsibilities
- Leverage 5+ years of experience in cloud-based big data storage and processing to develop effective solutions using tools such as Amazon S3, AWS Glue, and Apache Spark.
- Demonstrate proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL data structures, showcasing at least 3 years of hands-on experience with various file types.
- Collaborate within an agile team to participate in software development, contributing to innovative and impactful projects.
- Design and implement data models at conceptual and logical levels, including physical implementations like Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, and related data storage technologies to enhance cloud infrastructure.
- Apply core AWS services and best architectural practices to maintain robust applications in the AWS environment.
- Analyze project needs, explore alternative designs, and propose effective solutions tailored to the AWS landscape.
- Employ strong communication skills to coordinate discussions among multiple stakeholders and manage expectations effectively.
Required Skills
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in cloud-based big data technologies.
- Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT tools, particularly Amazon S3, AWS Glue, and Apache Spark.
- Proficient in working with SQL and NoSQL data structures.
- Ability to design and implement data models, including physical implementations such as Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Expertise in using Amazon Redshift and other AWS services.
- Experience with Oracle and PL/SQL is a plus, along with familiarity in data integration using Informatica.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies is beneficial.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in Cloud Development and Migration with a focus on AWS, particularly in Analytics, Data Warehousing, and Redshift.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with Oracle/PL SQL.
