The Opportunity
DAT is looking for a
Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team working hybrid in Denver, Colorado; Beaverton, Oregon; or remote Seattle, Washington
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be a forward-looking individual with working experience with AWS, Kubernetes and Serverless technologies to expand our current Platform Engineering efforts. You should be willing to question current practices and help to push the team forward in the DevSecOps maturity cycle as it is a growing and learning organization.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate is an experienced AWS cloud infrastructure engineer with a passion for IaC and automation, excelling in EKS, Terraform, and CI/CD. A collaborative team player, they thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments, actively seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency and reliability while eagerly embracing new technologies
What You'll Do:
- Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, leveraging EKS and Terraform.
- Build and maintain an automated self-service platform for infrastructure and services.
- Champion IaC principles, automate infrastructure management, and optimize resource utilization.
- Implement security best practices and ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
The Skills and Experience You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or other equivalent engineering or science field, or equivalent combination of education and experience with the development, deployment, and reliability of a large enterprise estate. 4-5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Expertise with AWS and its core services.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and scaling multi-cluster, multi-region, and multi-account infrastructure
- Expert-level experience with EKS configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code for provisioning, configuration and management.
- Understanding of networking in AWS & Kubernetes including service meshes, load balancing, and VPCs.
- Proficiency in modern development practices and systems engineering principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- A passion for continuous learning and improvement.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- 5+ years of solid, disciplined experience developing and maintaining could infrastructure.

For Colorado-based candidates, in compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the minimum salary for this role is $85,000.00 + benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience.
