Job Overview
We are in search of a seasoned and driven Cloud Data Engineer, proficient in cloud-centric big data storage, processing, and analytics, to enhance our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize cloud data solutions utilizing big data storage tools, processing frameworks, and ETL/ELT methodologies such as S3, AWS Glue, and Apache Spark.
- Create and implement data models at both conceptual and logical levels, transforming them into effective physical data structures like Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Employ robust expertise in Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, and other AWS data tools to facilitate data-driven applications.
- Manage data integration with SQL and NoSQL structures, ensuring seamless data ingestion and processing.
- Collaborate within an agile development environment, participating in all software development life cycle phases including planning, design, and feature implementation.
- Analyze business needs, assess potential design alternatives, and propose scalable solutions tailored for the AWS landscape.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain cloud applications, emphasizing performance, scalability, and adherence to industry best practices within AWS.
- Coordinate effectively with on-site teams, managing expectations and ensuring timely project delivery through clear communication.
- Implement agile methodologies to uphold quality standards and ensure timely project completion.
Required Skills
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience with cloud-based big data technologies, including S3, AWS Glue, and Apache Spark, among other AWS services for data management and processing.
- At least 3 years’ experience with SQL and NoSQL data structures, including data processing and integration capabilities.
- 3+ years of experience in software development within an agile team context, involving coding, testing, and deploying cloud-based applications.
- Strong proficiency with Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, and additional AWS data-related tools, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of AWS architecture.
- Experience in Oracle databases and PL/SQL for data manipulation and optimization.
- Prior work with ETL tools, specifically Informatica, and integrating data from various sources into AWS-based solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, inclusive of iterative development and sprint planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
- 5+ years of expertise in cloud development and migration, particularly with a focus on AWS analytics, data warehousing, and Redshift.
- At least 1 year of experience with Oracle and PL/SQL.
- Minimum 1 year of experience using data integration tools, especially Informatica.
