Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Platform Architect with extensive experience in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Log Analytics, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Data Documentation, and DevOps. This role requires an expert in cloud architecture who can drive innovation, optimize cloud performance, and ensure security and scalability of data platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cloud Architecture & Strategy: Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure.
• Azure Databricks & ADF: Lead the architecture and optimization of big data and ETL processes using Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Governance: Use Unity Catalog for data governance and configure Databricks IAM policies and compute policies.
• Monitoring & Logging: Implement logging and monitoring for compliance of Azure services, ensuring system reliability.
• DevOps & Automation: Work closely with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines, version control, and deployment strategies.
• Data Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for data pipelines, architecture, and governance.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure data security, compliance, and governance best practices in all cloud implementations.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to translate requirements into effective cloud solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in Azure Cloud Architecture and Data Platform Solutions.
• Strong expertise in Azure Databricks, ADF (Azure Data Factory), and Log Analytics.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices (Terraform should not be a primary responsibility).
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
• Knowledge of data governance, documentation, and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable and secure cloud solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Microsoft Azure Solution Architect Certification (AZ-305) or related cloud certifications.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized applications.
• Familiarity with Machine Learning and AI services on Azure is a plus.
