Those in DevSecOps at PwC will focus on minimising software threats by integrating development, operations and security industry leading practices in order to validate secure, consistent and efficient delivery of software and applications. You will work to bridge the gap between these teams for seamless and secure application and software development.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Manager with a strong background in site reliability engineering (SRE) to lead our DevOps team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and optimizing infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of applications, and driving continuous improvement in deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Azure DevOps team to ensure optimal performance and reliability of services.
- Design, implement, and maintain Azure DevOps solutions including Terraform,Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, Azure Artifacts, AKS.
- Develop and automate Azure release pipelines and deployments, ensuring seamless integration with external and remote services.
- Develop and optimize Azure Microservices, including Azure Function Apps and Web Apps, to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in full stack applications and infrastructure, focusing on root cause analysis to maximize service uptime.
- Balance service reliability with technical debt and operational tasks for live services running at scale.
- Manage and optimize containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS), including performance troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and rollback strategies.
- Monitor, respond to, and resolve incidents, participating in 24x7x365 on-call support as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional experience with various Linux distributions.
- Strong expertise in Azure cloud computing technologies and concepts.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, Ruby, Java, Perl, Shell, or PowerShell.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, and JFrog Artifactory.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including HTTP/S, TCP/IP, DNS, VNets, VPCs, subnets, routing, and firewalls.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with DBaaS/Managed Cloud databases like Azure SQL, MSSQL, MySQL/PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Experience using Datadog for monitoring and alerting.
- Knowledge of web server technologies, including HTTP, Nginx, Apache, and Tomcat.
- Proficiency in defining and implementing HA, DR, and rollback strategies.
