Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient deployment of applications in the AWS cloud environment, and optimizing the infrastructure using best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and AWS services.
- Manage and optimize AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda for application deployment.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation for infrastructure management.
- Monitor applications and infrastructure performance using CloudWatch, Datadog, and Prometheus.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve application reliability and performance.
- Automate deployment processes using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Implement containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ensure security best practices are followed in AWS environments, including VPC configurations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- AWS Certification (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in a cloud environment.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services and architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudTrail, Datadog, and Grafana.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and VPC setups in AWS.
