Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong background in building CI/CD pipelines from scratch, fluency in Chinese, and expertise in containerization solutions like Docker and Kubernetes. Candidates with financial services industry experience will be highly preferred. The ideal candidate will contribute to enhancing development workflows, optimizing system performance, and ensuring secure and efficient deployments in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
CI/CD Pipeline Development
- Design, build, and implement CI/CD pipelines from scratch to streamline application development and deployment.
- Automate the software delivery lifecycle, including build, test, and deployment stages.
- Continuously optimize pipeline performance for scalability and reliability.
Containerization and Orchestration
- Implement and manage containerization solutions using Docker.
- Set up, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters to support scalable and efficient microservices architectures.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of containerized applications in production and development environments.
Infrastructure Automation and Management
- Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and monitoring to optimize performance and cost.
Financial Services Integration
- Leverage financial services industry knowledge to align DevOps processes with regulatory and operational requirements.
- Ensure systems and pipelines are compliant with industry-specific security and compliance standards.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting
- Set up robust monitoring solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog to ensure system reliability.
- Quickly troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, pipeline, or container-related issues to minimize downtime.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to integrate DevOps best practices into the development lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively to ensure a clear understanding and collaboration within a multilingual team.
- Provide training and guidance on CI/CD and containerization tools to team members.
Security and Compliance
- Integrate security measures into pipelines and container environments, including vulnerability scanning and secure configuration management.
- Ensure all deployments and systems adhere to financial regulations and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Language: Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English is required.
Experience:
- Proven experience designing and building CI/CD pipelines from scratch.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or related roles.
- Previous work experience in financial services or regulated industries is a significant plus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Expert knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in AWS.
- Strong understanding of version control systems (Git).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills in Chinese and English, and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and container networking.
- Experience with securing containerized applications and Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience in cost optimization strategies for cloud-based and containerized environments.
