Take2 is hiring a cleared Cloud Engineer. This role requires a Top-Secret SCI Clearance or Higher to interview. This position is onsite and will require you to work out of Reston, VA.
Job Description: Cloud Engineer
Overview
This role involves managing, supporting, and enhancing cloud environments with a focus on Microsoft Azure. The position requires applying functional and industry knowledge to develop or contribute to solutions for moderate-scale problems. The engineer will work independently with some guidance and may review or mentor junior team members, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution within the cloud infrastructure.
Education & Certification Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics is preferred, but not required.
An active DoD 8570 compliant certification such as CompTIA Security+ or a CISSP is required.
Clearance Requirements
Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
Onsite Requirements
This position is onsite 5x days per week at the customer site in Reston, VA.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support cloud environments, focusing on continuous improvement and issue resolution
- Develop and maintain Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and databases
- Use infrastructure as code tools like ARM templates or Terraform to automate deployments
- Manage hybrid cloud environments and coordinate across multiple DoD networks
- Collaborate using Agile methodologies with tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Automate Azure processes using PowerShell or Azure CLI
- Review or guide activities of junior team members as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience deploying and maintaining Azure environments and resources
- Proficiency with Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and databases
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as ARM templates or Terraform
- Working knowledge of Linux OS and Bash scripting
- Understanding of Azure networking concepts like virtual networks, subnets, and security groups
- Ability to work effectively in Agile teams using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
- TS/SCI clearance and DoD 8570 compliant Security+ or CISSP certification prior to starting
Desired Skills
- Experience developing software using Python, Go, or Java
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining software applications
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Experience with Azure Active Directory (AAD) and multi-tenant cloud management across DOD networks
- Automating cloud processes with PowerShell or Azure CLI
- Azure Engineering or Architecting certification
