Role: Release Manager
Location: Mumbai/Bangalore
Purpose
The Programme Environment Manager is responsible for defining, implementing, and governing the environment and release strategy for the Vertere programme. This role ensures that all environments are fit-for-purpose, compliant, and aligned with organizational standards to support successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Environment Strategy & Governance
- Develop and maintain the environment and release strategy for Vertere.
- Establish governance processes for environment lifecycle management.
Environment Readiness & Coordination
- Manage environment calendars and readiness across all workstreams.
- Maintain risk logs and resolve environment conflicts proactively.
Release Management
- Gate releases to ensure compliance with SDLC, security, and resilience standards.
- Drive automation in release and test processes to improve efficiency.
Standards & Best Practices
- Define and enforce standards for tooling, branching, naming conventions, and release management.
- Maintain a central repository for governance documentation.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with cloud architects, infra engineers, and delivery leads.
- Secure stakeholder buy-in for standards and processes.
Risk & Compliance
- Implement access control models, FinOps guidance, and security governance templates.
- Monitor and mitigate environment-related risks.
Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps, and cloud-based environments.
- Experience in environment management for large-scale programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
