Role Description
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer (AWS) to join our team on a full-time basis. This remote role, located in DC area, involves responsibilities such as designing and implementing scalable cloud infrastructures, optimizing performance, ensuring robust security, and providing support to integrate cloud-based systems. The Cloud Engineer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain cloud-native applications in alignment with business goals, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, and ensuring high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Cloud Computing, specifically AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
- Proficient in Software Development and scripting, including programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
- Solid understanding of Infrastructure, including networking, server configurations, and system architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Linux environments and administration.
- Proficiency with Databases, including relational and non-relational database management systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- This acquisition supports: (a) ongoing AWS consumption for approved environments; (b) operational sustainment; (c) security operations support and ATO/continuous monitoring evidence support; and (d) cost management (FinOps) to maintain visibility and discipline against established ceilings.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud services.
Salary: $65 per hour (Full Time)
