Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a DevOps Engineer located in Chennai. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for managing containerized environments, cloud infrastructure, and deployment automation. The role focuses on maintaining scalable Kubernetes environments, managing Docker-based workloads, and administering AWS infrastructure.
The candidate will also collaborate closely with development and operations teams to streamline deployment workflows, improve system reliability, and ensure high availability of Linux-based systems.
Qualifications and SkillsKubernetes (Mandatory Skill)
Strong experience deploying, managing, and scaling applications using Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
Docker (Mandatory Skill)
Hands-on experience with Docker containerization for building, packaging, and deploying applications across development and production environments.
AWS Infrastructure (Mandatory Skill)
Experience managing AWS services such as EC2, VPC, security groups, load balancers, and storage services to support scalable cloud deployments.
CI/CD Pipelines
Experience designing and maintaining automated pipelines for building, testing, and deploying containerized applications.
Monitoring and Logging
Experience implementing monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system reliability, performance, and rapid issue detection.
Infrastructure Automation
Experience using tools such as Ansible or Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
Cloud Security and Networking
Understanding of AWS networking concepts including VPCs, IAM roles, and security best practices.
Linux Administration
Strong understanding of Linux systems, shell scripting, and server management.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Deploy, manage, and maintain Kubernetes clusters for scalable container orchestration.
- Build, optimize, and maintain Docker images and containers for application deployment.
- Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure, including EC2 instances, networking, and storage services.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible or Terraform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to containers, Kubernetes clusters, and cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline build, deployment, and release workflows.
- Ensure adherence to cloud security best practices across infrastructure and container platforms.
- Optimize cloud resources to improve system performance and cost efficiency.
