Akkodis is seeking a
Cloud Engineer for a
Contract with a client in
Charlotte, NC. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments to support secure, scalable cloud operations.
Rate Range: $49/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Cloud Engineer Job Responsibilities Include
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions, including virtual machines, databases, Application Gateways, and Firewalls.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Helm to automate provisioning, updates, and lifecycle management of Azure resources.
- Implement cloud security best practices—Zero Trust, Azure Policy, RBAC, and monitoring—to ensure compliance and protect cloud workloads.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Network Watcher to maintain performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
- Lead cloud migration initiatives, moving on‑prem workloads to Azure and configuring hybrid connectivity through ExpressRoute or VPN gateways.
- Collaborate with development and architecture teams to design scalable cloud solutions and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions while resolving complex cloud, networking, and security issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, architecture, or infrastructure management.
- Strong hands‑on expertise with Azure services, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, virtual networks, and security components.
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm) and cloud automation practices.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $53.00 per hour
