Role Description
We need someone who owns the infrastructure layer — from container orchestration to database reliability to deployment automation. You'll take a growing platform and evolve it into something that scales, self-heals, and deploys itself.
You'll work alongside product engineers who build fast and expect infrastructure to not be the bottleneck.
What You'll Work On
- Set up CI/CD pipeline (GitHub Actions → container registry → deploy) so engineers stop deploying from laptops
- Implement proper health checks with automatic rollback on failed deploys
- Centralize logging across all services
- Add monitoring and alerting — container health, database connections, cache memory, disk usage
- Optimize the Docker build and deploy strategy for a multi-service architecture
- Migrate to managed container orchestration (ECS Fargate or EKS)
- Add a staging environment that mirrors production
- Implement blue-green or canary deployments
- Database backup strategy and point-in-time recovery validation
- Multi-AZ failover for production reliability
Qualifications
- 5+ years in a DevOps / SRE / Infrastructure role
- Strong Docker experience — multi-stage builds, compose, debugging container networking
- AWS production experience — compute, managed databases, caching, storage, IAM, VPC
- CI/CD pipeline design and implementation
- Linux administration — reverse proxies, SSL, troubleshooting under pressure
- Experience with PostgreSQL in production — backups, migrations, monitoring
