We're hiring a hands-on DevOps engineer to own day-to-day operations of a regulated-industry platform running on AWS and Kubernetes.
This is an execution role with strong guardrails. Architecture is owned by senior consultants — your focus is keeping production stable,
shipping safe changes through a review-driven workflow, and responding to incidents.
What you'll do
• Deploy and manage services across multiple environments via GitOps
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to production alerts
• Review configuration pull requests for correctness and security before merge
• Run infrastructure-as-code plans in non-production; apply to production only with consultant approval and a second reviewer
• Write Python scripts to automate repetitive operational tasks
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, Linux workloads, cluster health, and certificate rotations
• Write and maintain runbooks for recurring incidents
What you won't do
• Design new infrastructure modules or network architecture (owned by senior consultants)
• Write custom gateway or platform plugin code (owned by product engineering)
• Apply changes to production without a second reviewer
Must-have skills
• 2–3 years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Operations with production exposure
• Strong hands-on with AWS core services (VPC, IAM, EKS, S3, RDS, Secrets Manager)
• Kubernetes and Helm, beyond tutorial level
• Comfort reading Terraform and running plan/apply workflows safely
• Python scripting for operational automation
• Linux system administration and networking fundamentals
• Git proficiency and disciplined code review habits
• Prior participation in a production on-call rotation — be ready to discuss specific incidents
• Strong security mindset: treats every open or unauthenticated endpoint as a bug
Nice-to-have
• Prior experience in a regulated / security-sensitive / financial services environment
• Exposure to service mesh and API gateway technologies
• Modern observability stack experience (logs, metrics, traces)
• GitOps-based deployment workflows
Hard requirements
• Bangalore, Work From Office (no remote, no hybrid)
• Available for production on-call rotation
• Immediate joiner or ≤ 15 days notice period
Compensation
8–11 LPA based on experience and interview performance
