Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced
Cloud Architect to design and lead the development of a scalable, secure, and high-performance IoT-driven SaaS platform. This role requires end-to-end ownership of cloud architecture, from proof-of-concept to production-grade systems.
You will play a critical role in defining system architecture, enabling engineering teams, and ensuring the platform is resilient, scalable, and optimized for performance and cost.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement end-to-end cloud architecture for IoT-enabled SaaS platforms
- Design scalable, secure, and high-availability systems using cloud-native services
- Lead architecture decisions across microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven frameworks
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to ensure best practices in design and implementation
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration strategies
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and security across environments
- Drive best practices for cloud cost optimization (FinOps) and resource utilization
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to development teams
- Evaluate and integrate IoT devices, protocols, and data ingestion pipelines
Required Skills & Experience - 10 15 years of experience in software development
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Architecture (AWS preferred)
- Strong experience designing and deploying scalable SaaS platforms
- Hands-on expertise in:
- AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, Lambda
- Containerization: Docker
- Orchestration: Kubernetes
- Solid understanding of:
- Microservices architecture
- Distributed systems
- Event-driven architecture
- Mandatory experience with MQTT protocol
- Strong backend development experience in at least one: C++, C#, .NET Core, or Go
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Exposure to high-volume data ingestion and IoT/time-series data processing
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional)
- Experience with IoT platforms and device integration
- Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS architectures
- Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices
