Position Summary
Seeking experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to help us design, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on GitLab CI/CD and AWS services. Integrate Gen AI tools such as Kubiya, Harness, and GitHub Copilot to automate IaC. Ensure smooth, automated, and secure delivery of applications, working closely with development and operations teams to streamline workflows and improve system reliability and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
AI-Driven Automation & IaC
- Intelligent Scripting: Engineer advanced automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to eliminate manual tool and boost operational velocity.
- Infrastructure as Code: Architect and manage scalable environments utilizing Terraform and CloudFormation, integrating Gen AI tools to optimize code generation and maintenance.
CI/CD Pipeline Orchestration
- GitLab Mastery: Design and maintain sophisticated GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Workflow Optimization: Leverage complex YAML configurations to automate the full lifecycle—from build and multi-stage testing to seamless production deployments.
AWS Cloud Engineering
- Infrastructure Management: Architect robust solutions across the AWS ecosystem, including compute (EC2, Lambda), containerization (ECS/EKS), storage (S3), and networking (VPC, IAM, RDS).
- Container Strategy: Direct the usage of Docker within pipelines and manage the scaling and distribution of GitLab runners across varied resources.
DevSecOps & Compliance
- Security Integration: Embed security directly into the SDLC, performing continuous vulnerability assessments.
- Regulatory Alignment: Apply deep expertise in cybersecurity frameworks, specifically ensuring infrastructure adheres to CMMC or NIST 800-171 controls.

Specialized Expertise
- AI Augmentation: Hands-on experience leveraging Gen AI tools to accelerate code generation, optimize Infrastructure as Code, and reduce maintenance overhead.
- DevOps: Extensive track record as a Senior DevOps Engineer, specifically driving strategy and execution within the GitLab CI/CD ecosystem.
- Cloud Architecture: Deep-tier proficiency in AWS managed services, with the ability to architect and recommend complex IaaS and PaaS solutions from the ground up.
- Container Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of Docker configuration, image management, and integration within automated pipelines.
- Orchestration: Proven experience managing production workloads using Kubernetes (K8s), AWS EKS, or ECS.
- Advanced Scripting: Highly proficient in Python or Bash for building custom automation tooling and system utilities.
- Config Management: Expert at writing declarative YAML files and deployment scripts for seamless configuration management and environmental consistency.
- Version Control: Deep familiarity with Git workflows (branching strategies, merge requests, and repository management).
- Systems Foundations: Strong grasp of core networking protocols, including DNS, Firewalls, Load Balancing, and VPC security.
- Security-First Mindset: Ability to implement industry-standard security best practices to protect sensitive cloud infrastructure.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technical, Engineering, Math) or related scientific areas.
Experience:
- A minimum of 15 years in IT with experience as Senior DevOps engineer/architect
Physical Requirements:
- Visual Acuity: Ability to clearly perceive and interpret data on computer monitors and electronic screens for extended periods. Must be able to read and analyze complex technical documents, code, and architectural diagrams.
- Auditory Communication: Capable of actively participating in technical discussions, team meetings, and strategic planning sessions, whether in person, via teleconference, or by phone. Ability to discern auditory safety alerts or system alarms.
- Technology & Equipment Operation: Proficiency in operating standard professional hardware, including personal computers and telecommunications equipment. Ability to manage physical access requirements, such as using electronic identification cards for building and floor entry.
- Stationary Work: Ability to remain in a seated or stationary position for prolonged durations while performing deep-focus engineering tasks or attending leadership meetings.
