AWS DevOps Cloud Engineer -Migration

Looking for a AWS Migration Engineer / Consultant to support the migration of workloads to AWS cloud environments. You will work closely with senior architects, clients, and delivery teams to execute migration projects, deploy AWS services, implement automation, and ensure smooth transitions from on‑premises to cloud.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years in technology consulting roles.
- 4+ years in AWS technology planning and implementation, with a track record of working on large-scale AWS projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree (BE) in a related field required; Master’s Degree preferred.
Cloud & AWS Knowledge
- Working experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Direct connect ).
- Understanding of AWS multi-account management, Organizations, and Control Tower
Migration Tools & Methods
- Familiarity with at least one AWS migration tool
- Understanding of migration approaches (re-host, re-platform, refactor basics).
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
- Hands-on experience with Terraform
- Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools (HARNESS, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, Jenkins).
- Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Containers & Modernization
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), or AWS serverless services like Lambda.
- Monitoring, Security & Governance
- Understanding of AWS monitoring and security tools (CloudWatch, Config, GuardDuty).
- Awareness of IAM best practices and least privilege principles.
RESPONSIBILTIES
Cloud Engineering & Automation
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for IaC and application deployments.
- Support creation and maintenance of reusable Terraform modules and automation scripts.
Operational Support & Troubleshooting
- Assist in integration, testing, and troubleshooting of AWS workloads.
- Monitor environments using CloudWatch, X-Ray, Config, and related tools.
- Support optimization efforts for cost, performance, and security.
Migration & Deployment
- Support migration projects involving servers, applications, and databases from on‑premises or private cloud to AWS.
- Participate in assessment, discovery, planning, cutover, and post‑migration optimization.
- Execute re-hosting and re-platforming activities using AWS migration tools
- Deploy, configure, and validate AWS services and infrastructure components.
CERTIFICATIONS - preferred
- AWS Solutions Architect –Professional
- AWS DevOps Engineer – Associate / Professional
- HashiCorp Terraform Associate
The anticipated hourly rate range for this position is ($60-$70), during the contract period. Actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. A range of medical, dental, retirement and/or other benefits are available after a waiting period.
