Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced AWS Cloud Engineer with strong infrastructure engineering expertise to support enterprise-scale cloud initiatives and secure infrastructure operations. This role is focused on hands-on AWS infrastructure management, network connectivity, VPN administration, server configuration, cloud security, and serverless architecture implementation. This is NOT a DevOps-focused role. The ideal candidate should have deep practical experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure environments rather than CI/CD pipeline automation or release engineering. The candidate will work closely with infrastructure teams, security teams, and application stakeholders to design, deploy, maintain, and optimize scalable and secure AWS cloud environments. Key Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure environments
- Configure and manage AWS networking components including:
- VPCs
- Route Tables
- NAT Gateways
- Security Groups
- Transit Gateways
- VPN Connections
- Build and maintain site-to-site VPN and secure remote connectivity solutions
- Administer Linux and Windows servers within cloud and hybrid environments
- Perform infrastructure hardening and server security configurations
- Manage IAM roles, policies, access controls, and cloud security best practices
- Implement and support serverless architectures using AWS Lambda and related AWS services
- Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security compliance
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, connectivity, and server-related issues
- Support disaster recovery and backup strategies for AWS environments
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and enterprise infrastructure teams
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and cloud modernization initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications - 8+ years of infrastructure engineering and cloud administration experience
- Strong hands-on expertise with AWS cloud infrastructure services

- API Gateway
- AWS VPN
- Extensive experience configuring and managing VPN environments
- Strong Linux and Windows server administration experience
- Experience with server hardening, patching, and security configurations
- Hands-on experience implementing serverless architectures and integrations
- Strong understanding of networking concepts:
- TCP/IP
- DNS
- Firewalls
- Routing
- Load Balancing
- Experience supporting production infrastructure environments
- Strong troubleshooting and infrastructure support skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced enterprise environments
Preferred Qualifications - AWS Certifications preferred:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- AWS SysOps Administrator
- AWS Advanced Networking Specialty
- Experience in utility, energy, or large enterprise environments is a plus
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud infrastructure models
- Knowledge of infrastructure compliance and security standards
Nice to Have - Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Basic scripting knowledge using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience with monitoring and logging platforms
- Exposure to enterprise identity and access management systems
What We Are Looking For We need a true infrastructure-focused AWS engineer who understands real-world enterprise cloud operations, networking, security, and server administration. This role is best suited for candidates with strong infrastructure engineering backgrounds rather than traditional DevOps or build/release engineering profiles.
