Responsibilities: The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing and maintaining robust automated build systems, managing source control repositories, and integrating static code analysis and IP compliance tools into the development workflow. This role demands a strong foundation in DevOps practices, version control strategies, and automation tooling, with a focus on improving build reliability, code quality, and overall development efficiency.
- Automated Build and CI/CD Pipelines o Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated build scripts. o Implement and manage daily and weekly build schedules. o Ensure build processes are efficient, reliable, and integrated into CI/CD pipelines. o Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and enhance build workflows.
- Source Control Management o Administer and maintain source control systems (e.g., Git, SVN). o Enforce best practices for branching, merging, tagging, and versioning. o Optimize repository performance and storage.
- Static Code Analysis o Develop scripts to automate static code analysis checks. Integrate code quality tools into the CI/CD pipeline. o Generate and review reports, providing actionable feedback to developers.
- IP Compliance & Violation Analysis o Create and maintain scripts to scan code for potential IP violations. o Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with licensing and copyright laws. o Work with legal/compliance teams to address violations and remediation plans.
- Build Analytics & Log Management o Implement analytics to monitor and improve build performance. o Manage build logs using NFS or other storage solutions. o Perform root cause analysis from log data to resolve recurring issues.
- Collaboration & Support o Partner with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new tooling and infrastructure features. o Provide ongoing support to development teams for build and version control issues. o Participate in code reviews and DevOps practice sessions.
