Senior Windows Infrastructure & Automation Engineer

A technology-driven organization is seeking a highly skilled Windows Infrastructure Engineer to help modernize and scale its enterprise Windows ecosystem. This role will focus on automation, endpoint management, cloud infrastructure, and platform engineering, with an emphasis on creating efficient, reliable, and secure operating environments across a global technology footprint.

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Automation & Engineering
- Design and implement automation solutions that streamline the management of enterprise Windows environments.
- Apply Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Configuration-as-Code methodologies to improve consistency, reliability, and scalability.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks that reduce manual administration and operational overhead.
- Build tools and processes that proactively identify and remediate infrastructure issues.
Cloud & Platform Administration
- Deploy, manage, and optimize Microsoft Azure resources using modern infrastructure automation practices.
- Support cloud-based services and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure cloud resources are configured according to operational and security standards.
Windows Platform Management
- Enhance the stability, performance, and reliability of Windows endpoints and server infrastructure.
- Support enterprise device management initiatives, including provisioning, deployment, lifecycle management, and policy administration.
- Participate in ongoing platform improvements, upgrades, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting efforts.
Scripting & Process Optimization
- Develop PowerShell-based tools, automation workflows, and operational utilities.
- Integrate enterprise services through APIs and scripting to improve efficiency and system interoperability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through automation and process refinement.
Collaboration & Support
- Partner with infrastructure, cloud, security, and operations teams to deliver engineering solutions that support business objectives.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and long-term technology planning.
- Act as a technical resource for escalations and complex infrastructure issues.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience supporting and engineering Microsoft-based infrastructure environments.
- Strong expertise with Windows desktop and server technologies.
- Experience using configuration management platforms such as Ansible or comparable automation tools.
- Proven ability to deploy and manage Microsoft Azure resources using Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
- Experience working with Microsoft Graph API and modern Microsoft cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Entra ID, and Active Directory.
- Understanding of enterprise infrastructure design principles, including security, scalability, availability, and disaster recovery.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience managing large-scale endpoint environments.
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud infrastructure and enterprise device management strategies.
- Background in highly automated, cloud-first, or technology-driven organizations.
- Experience implementing configuration management and infrastructure automation at scale.
