Role Description The Cloud Engineer will support DMA Associates’ information management solutions by designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and services. This contract role is hybrid, based in Cranbury, NJ, with a mix primarily with required on-site work and secondarily remote as project needs require. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and deploying cloud-native applications, configuring and optimizing infrastructure components, and ensuring reliable, secure integrations between software and cloud platforms. The Cloud Engineer will monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, manage environments across development and production, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new initiatives and enhancements.
Qualifications
- Strong software development skills, with experience in modern programming languages and building cloud-native or distributed applications.
- Hands-on infrastructure knowledge, including networking fundamentals, virtualization, containers, and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
- Practical experience with cloud computing platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), including provisioning, security, and cost optimization.
- Proficiency with Linux and Microsoft operating systems, shell scripting, and system administration in production environments.
- Experience working with databases (relational and/or NoSQL), including design, performance tuning, and secure data management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and version control tools (e.g., Git).
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and document solutions effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in consulting, information services, or enterprise software environments is beneficial.
